El curso fue inaugurado por el presidente del Tribunal Constitucional, Cándido Conde-Pumpido Tourón, seguido de la intervención de la presidenta de ACIJUR, Patricia Rosety.
La primera de las seis jornadas del seminario ha estado dedicada a la composición, organización y competencias del Tribunal y la ponencia estuvo a cargo de su secretario general, Andrés Gutiérrez Gil. Las sesiones formativas se celebran en la sede del Tribunal Constitucional y están impartidas por expertos juristas en la materia y miembros de este órgano constitucional.
El objetivo del programa formativo es mejorar la comprensión y el tratamiento en medios de comunicación del trabajo realizado en el Tribunal Constitucional: su actividad jurisdiccional, institucional e internacional. En particular, su misión como intérprete supremo de la Constitución y máximo garante de los derechos fundamentales y las libertades públicas.
